We take time every year to thank the extraordinary lineworkers who dedicate their lives to keeping the lights on in our local communities. South Plains Electric Cooperative’s service territory contains over 9,000 miles of line, that is maintained by 60 lineworkers. Without them, our world would be dark.

Making Life Better

What would make life better in our service territory? More jobs? Better health care? Improved parks? Access to faster internet? Renewable energy options? Those are improvements that could benefit everyone in the area.

Abernathy Elementary School Earns Operation Round Up Grant

“The third-grade students at Abernathy Elementary love using The Learning Carpet. The Learning Carpet is really an asset to any classroom and can be used cross-curricular,” said Abernathy science teacher, Denise Christopher. “The grant was so helpful! It made it possible for the students to become independently creative while learning.”
